I tried to get out, but they pulled me back in

Well, that’s not strictly what happened. For nigh on three years I had a blog with my alma mater, Warwick University. It’s still there – click here for proof, as well as some rather excellent writing, like the time I travelled around the world. After I graduated in 2005, I had to pay for the privilege of keeping the blog going, through subs to the Warwick Graduates Association (WGA, or as it’s affectionately known, Wigga), and I did, like some kind of schmuck, for two years.

Then this September, I was about to blog my exploits at the Labour and Lib Dem Party Conferences when suddenly I couldn’t log on. I hadn’t paid my membership fees to Wigga so without warning I lost my only creative outlet. They only had to ask; naturally, if they don’t care about my money I’m not going to give them it.

For a while then, I lived blogless. But the brilliant ideas started piling up and writing nothing but formulaic copy for DeHavilland began to cramp my style. Hence this thing.

More riveting reads are on their way.
